Job Title: Experienced Procurement Officer

Location: Jamata Village, Lokoja LGA, Kogi
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team at Unicane Industries FZE. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing our procurement processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement plans, strategies, and policies to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Tendering and Contracting: Prepare and manage tender documents, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts with suppliers.

Purchasing and Logistics: Coordinate purchasing activities, ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and manage inventory levels.

Budgeting and Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgetary allocations.

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, policies, and procedures, and identify and mitigate potential risks.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

Professional Certification: Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certification is an added advantage.

Skills:

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
