Job Title: Field Engineering Manager
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Type: Full-time

 

Job Overview

  • The Field Engineering Manager oversees and manages the engineering activities for an EPC project in the oil and gas sector, ensuring that all engineering deliverables are executed on time, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or HND+PGD in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • Ability to supervise on-site engineering activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent managerial, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to proactively and professionally manage project or field changes in a way that optimizes project objectives, ensuring a balanced outcome that benefits both the client and the contractor.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven expertise in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams on-site.
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, IEC, etc.).
  • Minimum of 13-15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in an engineering management role on large-scale EPC projects.
  • Proficient in using engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Extensive experience in oil and gas construction projects (upstream, midstream, or downstream).
