Job Description

• The Chief Security Officer (CSO)will be responsible for overseeing security operations, law enforcement, and the implementation of security policies to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and the general public.
• This role involves strategic planning, risk assessment, crime prevention, and leadership in security operations.

Key Responsibilities
Security Management & Law Enforcement:

• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Supervise and coordinate security teams to ensure law and order are maintained.
• Investigate security breaches, criminal activities, and disciplinary violations.
• Ensure compliance with national security regulations and legal frameworks.

Operational Leadership:

• Oversee daily security and law enforcement operations within the assigned jurisdiction.
• Manage response teams for emergencies, crises, and critical incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify risks and implement preventive measures.
• Coordinate intelligence gathering and analysis to anticipate security threats.

Personnel Management & Training:

• Lead and mentor officers under command, ensuring high standards of discipline and professionalism.
• Conduct regular training on security protocols, crisis response, and leadership development.
• Ensure proper deployment of security personnel to optimize effectiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:

• Liaise with government agencies, military, police, and private security organizations for security collaboration.
• Develop partnerships with community leaders, businesses, and organizations to enhance security.
• Represent the security department in meetings, briefings, and public engagements.

Crisis Management & Emergency Response:

• Lead response efforts during security threats, disasters, and national emergencies.
• Develop and test emergency response plans for different scenarios.
• Ensure rapid coordination between law enforcement agencies and emergency services.

Administrative & Compliance Duties:

• Prepare reports on security operations, incidents, and law enforcement activities.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards in security management.
• Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for security operations.

Qualifications & Skills
Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Security Studies, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree in Security Management, Law, or Public Administration is an advantage.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 7 – 10 years of experience in military, law enforcement, or security management.
• Proven leadership experience in managing large security teams and high-risk operations.
• Experience in crisis management, counter-terrorism, and intelligence operations.

Key Competencies:

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• In-depth knowledge of security laws, protocols, and enforcement strategies.
• Excellent crisis management and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
