Job Title: Facility Officer

Locations: Ikeja – Lagos, Ota – Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• To ensure the effective functioning of a facility to provide an efficient and safe working environment for employees and their activities by using best business practices to manage resources, services, and processes to meet the needs of the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist the facility manager in developing and implementing a facility management program including preventive maintenance and life-cycle requirements.
• Conduct and document regular facility inspections
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
• Allocate and manage facility space for maximum efficiency
• Coordinate intra-office moves
• Assist in managing the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment
• Manage facility refurbishment and renovations
• Obtain quotes and tenders from vendors and suppliers
• Calculate and compare costs for goods and services to maximize cost-effectiveness
• Monitor the activities of contract suppliers
• Manage contractor and vendor relationships
• Ensure delivery schedules, quantity, and quality criteria are met.
• Check completed work by contractors and vendors
• Verify payment and invoicing match contract pricing
• Oversee environmental health and safety
• Assure the security of the facility
• Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
• Provide prompt response to requests and issues from facility occupants
• Available for travel to Eye Foundation Hospital Group locations.
• Other tasks as may be assigned

Requirements

• HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a reputable institution.
• 2 years of experience in the role.
• Computer savvy skills: Must be a sound user of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
